Following the national address made by president Muhammad Buhari in addressing the recent protest against the police brutality and extra judicial killings by men of the disbanded SARS by Nigeria youth. These are the 12 key takeaways from presidential address.

1. Confirmation of SARS disbandment and the right of citizens to protest.

2. There be should no infringement of other peoples’ rights by the protesters

3. Government acceptance of 5 of 5 demands of the Nigerian youths and police reform is sacrosanct

4. Youth are being engaged in violent, sexual assaults, and freeing of convicts and destroying of both public and private properties

5. Total condemnation of invasion of Oba of Lagos palace and airport activities disrupted making people stranded should not be encouraged

7. The present administration have been doing wonders and the very best to reposition the country and empower youth to the best capability

8. Many programs have been designed to target youth empowerment and employment through MSME initiatives and other.

9. Police salary will be reviewed to end extortion and corruption

10. Government have the mandate to protect the lives and property of citizens, and then, no breaking of laws and order will be further tolerated

11. Mr. President appeals to protesters to discontinue the protest and engage in dialogue to solve many problem of the country

12. Avoidance of partisan politics to affect the unity of the country
