12 more succumbs to covid-19 in Kenya

The ministry of health has today reported that a total of 1,068 people have tested positive for the deadly covid-19 virus over the last 24hrs. This is after a sample of 7,556 people were tested.
This now brings the total number of those who have tested positive so far in the country to 47,212.

The total cumulative tests in country now stands at 640,225.
From today’s confirmed positive cases,1,044 are Kenyans while 24 are foreigners.Out of the confirmed positive cases 1,068, 666 are males while 402 are females. The youngest to contract the virus was 6 months old while the oldest was 96 years old.

On a positive note the ministry confirmed 290 patients recovered from the deadly virus bringing the total number of recoveries to 33,050.
Out of the recoveries 253 were under home based care programme while 55 were discharged from various hospitals across the country.On a sad note the ministry confirmed 12 people succumbed to the virus thus bringing the total number of fatalities to 870.

Currently 27 patients are in ICU while 45 are on supplementary oxygen,27 are on high ventilatory support machine while 12 are in High Dependancy Unit.All Kenyans are urged to continue observing the rules and regulation in order to prevent further spread of the pandemic.
