2021 Miss Heritage Global to be hosted in Abuja

The organizers of Miss Heritage Global, on Monday, said the 2021 edition will take place in Abuja.

The event which could not take place last year due to the outbreak of the corona virus pandemic and the subsequent lock down, was held last in 2019 in Accra Ghana.

The President of Entertainment Economic Summit Africa (EESA) 2021, Alhaji Musa Ibrahim Mantu, in a press conference in Abuja on Monday, said the 2021 edition will be a huge one with 100 million followers. He added that the event will draw over 600 attendees drawn from the targeted audience which includ the public sector, members of the diplomatic community, lifestyle aficionados, hospitality practitioners, youth and mass market creative entrepreneurs.

He said “It promises to deliver an exciting once in a life time experiential event spectacle, one which will definitely redefine entertainment trends in the country.”

The event which will run for 10days begins from 30 September 2021 to October 2021.

According to him, “There will be many programmes but the grand event will be in commemoration of our 61st Independence anniversary.”

This edition is said to witness the participation of about 60 countries with Hollywood star, Oscar and Grammy winning Actor Jamie Foxx and British Actor Idris Elba as hosts.

Nhlanhla Shabangu, the President of (MHG), said the idea behind its foundation is to celebrate the beauty of human nature across the world.

He said, “Miss Heritage is the first international beauty pageant that focuses on the promotion of heritage and is the only internationally recognized international pageant that is created and is based in Africa.
“Nigeria is a country rich with culture and with a heritage that connects Africans, African Americans and Africans in the Diaspora.
“The 2021 event will showcase the diverse cultures that make up Nigeria and how these cultures come together to influence the world.
“Heritage week Nigeria invites the world to experience firsthand this rich Nigerian culture create networking opportunities that foster global intercultural diplomacy and once again demonstrate the unity in our diversity.
“We are confident that this event would launch a wave of innovative activations that will position Abuja and Nigeria as a whole as a vibrant and highly sought after Tourist and Entertainment Hub, Rife with Culture and outstanding lifestyle experiences that will attract FDI into the sector.”
