25 suspects arrested by EFCC over internet fraud in Lagos

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission in Lagos has confirmed the arrest of 25 suspects for alleged involvement in computer related offences.

This was made known by the head, Media and Publicity, EFCC, Mr. Wilson Uwujaren, he listed the names of the suspects as: Kelechi Daniel David, Ibrahim Olaiwon Olatunji, Olutayo Oluwapelumi, Adesuyi Toheeb Adeyinka, Abiola Baruwa Gideon, Want Abdullahi Ahmed, Imoukhuede Idowu Peter and Ige Emmanuel Oluwatobi.

Also listed are, Makanjuola Olamide Elijah, Durodola Peter Tolulope, Emmanuel Edward Enyiema, Oguniran Samuel Boluwatife, Onikosi Olasunkunmi Idris and Abdulateef Adegoke Oriyomi.

Others include, Ogbere Sunday Ojulari, Abdulwaliu Aderuju Adeyemi, Emmanuel Ibuchi Ezeh, John Ayokunmi Bagbale, Moses Tarh, Emmanuel Ovie Okpe, Murtala Mohammed Oyinlola, Ayomide Hassan Semiu, Adebayo Michael Adetola, Covenant Chizaram Eze and Chidi Okwor.

He said, “They were arrested during an operation by operatives of the EFCC in the early hours of March 9, 2021 at a hotel in Governor Road, Ikotun, Lagos, following credible intelligence on their alleged criminal activities.

He further said “The suspects will be charged to court as soon as their investigations is concluded.”
