The leadership of the All Progressives Congress in Port Harcourt City Local Government Area of Rivers State have disowned the former Member of the House of Representatives in the Area, Mr. Igo Aguma at the local government level.
The leadership of the APC who are drawn from the twenty political wards in the area said their decision to disown Mr. Aguma was reached during a general stakeholders meeting in PHALGA for allegedly betraying the party leadership.
The leader of the party in the area, Nnamdi Nwuche who read a communique on behalf of the people at the World Conference held in Port Harcourt said their action follows Mr. AGUMA’s past and recent activities against the party and its leader in the state.
The communique maintained that Mr. AGUMA has no good intention for the party but, rather an alleged desperation to destroy the APC to pave way for his sponsors who are lobbying to join and take over the party.
The PHALGA APC Stakeholders also expressed worries that Mr. AGUMA who despite his benefit from the party has taken the part to cause harm to the party.
Meanwhile, former member of the Rivers State House of Assembly for PHALGA constituency one, Mrs. Victoria Nyeche said it is time to adress members who use court order to stop the progress of the party, as she maintains the Minister of Transportation Rotimi AmaechiI remains their leader.
