Nigerian Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar has mourned a Veteran Actor, Sadiq Abubakar Daba who died on Wednesday while battling with leukemia and prostrate cancer.
Atiku who expressed his grief over the actor’s death on his official social platform on Thursday, said “sad that the cock will no longer crow at dawn”.
He thanked the actor for the joy brought into his home while prayed for his sin to be forgiven and his memories be a blessing.
Meanwhile, a family source confirmed that Sadiq Abubakar Daba died Wednesday evening after a protracted battle with leukemia and prostrate cancer.
Daba popularly known as ‘Bitrus’ from his role in Cock Crow At Dawn, the popular soap opera that ruled the TV in the 1970s and 1980s, has for years been in and out of hospitals both in Nigeria and abroad.
