Boko Haram: Killing of 43 farmers in Borno: Words fail me, says Atiku

The Former Vice President of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar has reacted to the killing of 43 farmers by Boko Haram Terrorists in Borno State, says it is heartbreaking as words fail him.

The Former Vice President disclosed this on his official social media platform on Saturday, Atiku was grieved with the unfortunate incident while prayed for victims families to be comforted.

According to him, “The lives of our citizens should be worth much more than this. The rejig of the nation’s security architecture is long overdue. May their souls rest in peace and may their families be comforted”.

It was reported that Boko Haram Terrorists killed at least forty three farmers in Borno state, while an unspecified number were also taken away by the criminals.

The farmers were waylaid on their way to their rice farms which they were harvesting before the surprise attack happened.

The attack occurred around Marrabati and Hammayya villages, near Zabarmari in Jere local government of Borno state on Saturday, 28th November, 2020.
