The Uganda’s National Unity Platform (NUP) President, Robert Kyagulanyi known as Bobi Wine has been arrested for leading a peaceful protest in the city of Uganda. This was disclosed on his official social platform on Monday while leading the NUP MPs and other leaders at the City Square, Kampala on Monday.

Bobiwine had earlier appreciated Ugandan people who responded to the call to demonstrate peacefully against the blatant rigging of the 14th January election. “The abductions and torture of our people as well as the trial of our people in military courts”, he said.

Bobiwine further said that because the Uganda’s President, Museveni is very scared of the people, he has since criminalised any form of protest against his dictatorial regime.
