Nigeria President, President Muhammad Buhari has approved the sum of thirteen billion naira (N13b) for the full implementation of the community policing in the country.
The announcement was made through the spokesman to the Vice President Yemi Osinbajo shortly after the National Economic Council meeting at the villa. The Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has then immediately order all the necessary stakeholders involved to sit together and work out modality for the proper implementation of the program.
Those that will be involving in the implementation process are, The Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Secretary General of the Federation (SGF) Chief Boss Mustapha, Minister of Finance, Hajia Zainab Adamu, Inspector General of Police, Nigeria Governors’ Forum chairman; Dr. Kayode Fayemi and some other notable stakeholders.
Should then be noted that, this community policing will be able to help in resolving and rejig the security architecture in the country as to further ensure more security of life and property.
