The CEO of Twinnie’s glam makeover, Mrs Kehinde Obeisun, a vibrant young entrepreneur. In this interview with OLUWASEUN SONDE, speaks on how she had love making up and why people settle for cheap makeup products which are not good for the skin. Why do you chose makeup as profession ? I have always loved making up and I knew I was going to take it up as a profession. The skill acquisition programme which was introduced by the government to Corp members in the orientation camp. This was boosted and encouraged me to learn about the profession and which also led me to meeting the skill facilitator who taught me more about the profession and all it entails. What are your challenges in your chosen profession ? First challenge is that there’s a lot of people who have chosen making up as a profession which have in a way reduced the customer rate and affected the charges of make up too. Also good make up products are a bit expensive which makes some people buy the cheaper ones and which ain’t good for the skins and recommendable to boost a make up brand. Where do you see yourself in your chosen profession in the next five years? By God’s grace, I pray to be in a very high position and have my own brand of make up products. What is your advise for the youths that are willing to chose your profession? Choosing make up as a profession is the same as working as an entrepreneur, it’s a bold step to take in not waiting for jobs, at least not waiting idly, even when you get that job, it doesn’t stop you from making up still because most times make up jobs comes basically on weekends. If you’ve got an extreme love for make up as a profession and you want to go for it, do not be discouraged, involve God, take that bold step and hope for the best.
