
Top officials of the federal government have begun their vaccination exercise, following the National rolling out of vaccination of the country on Friday.
The Chief of Staff to the President, Professor Ibrahim Gambari, and the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu received their first jab of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine.
The Permanent Secretary State House, Tijjani Umar and Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), General Mohammed Buba Marwa were also vaccinated by the Chief Nursing Officer, Doctor Esther Ibrahim at the Special Care Center of State House Clinic, Abuja.
Chief of Staff to the President, Gambari, after taking his first dose, described the process as painless.
Gambari said that he is emulating the President as a responsible Nigerian. He urged all eligible Nigerians to avail themselves to be vaccinated to ensure Nigeria can attain herd immunity.
