Corona virus situation in Kenya

The ministry of health has announced that 243 more people have tested positive of covid-19 in the last 24hrs. In a statement issued by the ministry of health cabinet adminstrative secretary Rashid Aman, the positive cases are from a sample size of 3,854  tested across the country. The ministry of health statistics on covid-19 now confirms that Kenya has recorded 35,603 positive cases from a sample size of 485,836 tested across the country.

Positively the CAS confirmed that 490 patients have recovered from the disease in the last 24hrs. From the recoveries 248 were patients under the home based care while 242 were discharged from various hospitals across the country. On a sad note the country has recorded 5 deaths within the last 24hrs. The case of fatalities now stands at 612.

The CAS sent a message of condolences to the families and friends who have lost their loved ones from the disease. The ministry of health reminded the nation that it wasn’t time yet to be reluctant on maintaining the covid-19 containment measures despite the current reduction number of covid-19 positive cases
