COVID-19: 1,430 stranded Nigerians evacuated US – NiDCOM

The Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM) has announced the total of One thousand four hundred and thirty stranded Nigerians have evacuated the United States of America during this COVID-19 pandemic.

The Chairman of NiDCOM, Hon Abike Dabiri-Erewa disclosed this on her official social platform as the 5th evacuation was made with 300 Nigerians arrived Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos over the weekend.

According to her, “300 Nigerians arrive Murtala Muhammed Int’l Airport, Lagos from the United States of America at about 1500HRS today 1st of August 2020 via Ethiopian Airlines.

“This brings the number of evacuees from the US to a total of 1,430. All Evacuees tested Negative to COVID-19 before boarding and will now proceed on a 14-day SELF-ISOLATION as mandated Presidential Task Force”, she said.
