Covid-19 deaths rises to 642

The government through the ministry of health has been trying very hard to make sure that Corona virus pandemic in the country is brought under control.

Today Kenya has recorded 183 more covid-19 positive cases within the last 24 hrs as the country’s total caseload rises to 36,576.
Out of the 183 new positive cases 14 are foreigners.

During the daily covid-19 briefings, Health CAS Mercy Mwangangi announced that 4,188 samples had been tested in the last 24hrs.

Positively,82 patients have recovered from the deadly virus. Out of the 82 recoveries 33 were under home based care while 49 were discharged from various health facilities across the country.

Regrettably 5 patients succumbed to the disease bringing the total number of fatalities to 642.

CAS Mercy Mwangangi noted that since the beginning of the pandemic,945 health care workers have been infected with the virus with 16 recorded to have succumbed. A moment of silence was observed in their honor.

However the ministry of health has continued to emphasize with Kenyans to abide by measures and protocols that government has put in place in order to curb the spread of the deadly virus.
