COVID-19: FG to roll out measures for safe reopening of schools

The Presidential Task Force PTF on COVID-19 has said that deliberation is going on School closure and wished to inform Nigerians that the Federal Ministry of Education will roll out measures to be put in place for safe re-opening of schools.

This was disclosed by the Chairman of PTF and Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha at the Press Conference on Covid-19 in Abuja on Wednesday, he said Children’s Day worldwide has brought to mind the need to build a legacy that would guarantee a safe and secured future for the children.

He added that the Hon. Minister of Education (State) will be elaborating on the subject and also clarify the purported announcement of the resumption date which went viral last week. “PTF wishes to use the occasion of the children’s day to congratulate children.

He assured them, their parents and all stakeholders alike, that all hands are on deck to reopen the schools at a safe time while used this medium to urge States, local governments, proprietors and other stakeholders to begin to take steps that will facilitate an early and safe reopening.
