COVID-19: I’m back, better, bouncing – Abayomi assures Lagosians

The Lagos State Health Commissioner Prof. Akin Abayomi has assured Lagosians that he is back, better and bouncing after recovering from Coronavirus, adding that together Nigerians shall win the fight against the deadly virus by doing the right thing. Speaking through his social media platform on Monday, he appreciated God Almighty as he shared with Lagosians the good news of testing negative to COVID-19 infection after 9 days of isolation and treatment.

According to him, “I am indeed gratefull to COVID-19 Lagos Incident Commander and Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu and the entire members of the Executive Council of Lagos for the overwhelming support and outpouring of love throughout the period of my isolation and treatment. I am most grateful to my colleagues in Nigeria and in the Diaspora for the inspiring messages and fervent prayers”, he said.

To the amazing people of Lagos, he wished to express his sincere appreciation for the prayers and  show of love. “Encouraging messages from well wishers sped up my recovery process and made my COVID-19 experience less challenging. “I am also grateful to GOD for the tremendous progress we are making in the fight against the spread of the virus in Lagos am glad the numbers of infections are declining by the day. I therefore urge us all to keep observing necessary COVID-19 regulations in public spaces and remain vigilant at home”, he added.
