The Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC), on Thursday, disclosed that the cases of Coronavirus infection continue to surge in the country as 1,964 new cases have been recorded, putting the total number of infections in Nigeria at 116,655. Adding that 7 more persons have died in the last 24 hours from Corona virus related complications and that puts the death toll to 1,485 with 1,310 people discharged.
Nigeria has tested 1,203,113 people since the first index case was announced on Feb. 27, 2020. This is according to the News Agency of Nigeria.
NCDC said, “Our discharges today include 798 community recoveries in Lagos State and 191 community recoveries in Ondo State managed in line with guidelines.”
