COVID-19: Sanwo-Olu unveils 150-bed isolation centre in Lagos

The Executive Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu have unveiled 150-bed isolation centre at the Mainland Infectious Disease Hospital, Yaba, donated by the Coalition Against COVID-19 (CACOVID) which increases the capacity to tackle the spread of the virus.

The commission was made on Sunday, the Governor said Lagos is rising to the task of beating back at COVID-19 because of the work of the amazing health workers, private partners and Federal Government.

According to him, “Today, we unveiled a 150-bed isolation centre at the Mainland Infectious Disease Hospital, Yaba which increases our capacity to tackle the spread of COVID-19.

“Lagos is rising to the task of beating back at COVID-19 because of the work of our amazing health workers, private partners, NCDC, the Federal Government, and residents who follow the strict guidelines we have laid down”, he said.

He thank the Private Sector Coalition Against COVID19 (CACOVID) for delivering this well equipped facility. “Let’s continue to work together”, he said.
