The United States Government has mourned the death of Congressman-elect, Luke Letlow who reportedly died as a result of COVID-19 infection.

The Press Secretary to the States, Kayleigh McEnany made this known on her official social platform on Wednesday, she said it’s a tragedy for both Louisiana and America.

She described Luke as a loving husband and a father, who now rest with his eternal father, while joined in the prayer for the family of the deceased.

According to her, “We join in prayer for the family of Congressman-elect Luke Letlow. This is a tragedy both for Louisiana and the nation. Luke was a loving husband and father, who now rests with his eternal Father”, she said.

Luke Letlow was newly elected member of Congress from Louisiana, who died Tuesday night from complications related to COVID-19, a spokesman announced.

The Associated Press reported earlier this month that Letlow, a 41-year-old Republican, had been hospitalized after being diagnosed with the virus. He was days away from being sworn into office.
