Covid-19:11 cases discharged in Lagos as Governor,wife tested negative

The Executive Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has announced that 11 more patients have fully recovered, tested negative to COVID-19 and discharged to go home while the Governor, family members and aides tested negative to the virus.

He disclosed this on his official social platform on Friday, he said anyone could be a carrier of the virus without showing symptoms and looking at global transmission, one weak link can lead to community vulnerability.

He said it’s unfortunate of the reports of youths gathering for social and sporting activities as well as those gathering for religious purposes. “This kind of insensitivity could be the weak link in our collective effort to break the chain of transmission”, he said.

He used use this opportunity to thank the frontline health workers and other professionals for their service while reiterated that this is not the time to relax, but to maintain vigilance against Covid-19 because of the community infection that beginning to surface.

“The patients include two females and nine males. Their results came out negative in two rounds of tests. I assured Lagosians that at the end of it all, we will hoist a flag of victory, with your cooperation”, he said.
