The National Youths Service Corp team led by the Delta State Coordinator, Mrs Olutayo Samuel has urged market women to maintain personal hygiene and also adhere to all COVID-19 protocols to stay alive while carried out sensitization on COVID-19 pandemic to markets across the state.
This was revealed on the official social platform of the organization on Tuesday, the sensitization programm which took place at Anioma Market in Asaba earlier witnessed the distribution of flyers on COVID-19 and face-masks. She refuted their ideas that the disease doesn’t exist that it is only for the rich. “Corona virus no know big man and small man. E no dey respect the rich nor the poor. Make we join hands make life better for we country. For now the disease has no cure, please adhere to the rules and regulations of NCDC and stay safe. Always use your face-masks in public places”, she warned.
She charged them to report any suspected case of COVID-19 to the NCDC centres in the State or any of the general hospitals.There was a demonstration of hand washing, the use of hand sanitizers, a drama playlet to inform the marketers of the need to take precautionary measures and that the COVID-19 pandemic is not a death sentence, if reported earlier.
