Covid19 : IMN Demands Immediate Release of Sheikh

Amidst two thousands six hundred prisoners that were released and some state pardon to some Nigeria citizens on Thursday, the Islamic Movement in Nigeria, IMN, has called on the Federal and Kaduna state governments to immediately release its leader, Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky in view of the coronavirus pandemic that is ravaging the world.

President of its Media Forum, Islamic movement in Nigeria,Ibrahim Musa in a press release citing various reasons why the IMN leader should be set free because of the coronavirus and non respected of various courts order that released him said “Sheikh Zakzaky deserves immediate freedom for very many reasons particularly at this difficult period that the nation is facing the scourge of Coronavirus.

“Chiefly among these, he remained in detention despite a 2016 federal high court ruling that declared his arrest and detention as unlawful, unconstitutional and a breach of his fundamental rights.”
