CPN seeks Minister’s professional advice as Chief ICT policy maker

Computer Professionals Registration Council of Nigeria (CPN) have seeked guidance and professional advice of the Honourable Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Dr Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami in his capacity as the Chief ICT Policy Maker in Nigeria.

The delegation was led by President/Chairman-in-Council, Prof Charles Uwadia paid a working visit to the Ministry’s Corporate Headquarters, Abuja on Friday. Realizing the important and influential role the Honourable Minister of Communications and Digital Economy played on Computerization of Government Key Processes and Activities, Recognition of the role of ICT Professionals in the implementation of the National Digital Economy for a Digital Nigeria.

Also, Inclusion of IT Professionals in all Governing Board of MDAs, Engagement with INEC on the automation of the Electoral System; and Involvement in the ongoing eGovernment Capacity Development Programs for Civil Servants.

Responding, the Minister granted their request which could be achieved on the spot, while others that needed a wider consultation and engagement, he pointed the body in the right direction and also personally reached out to desired key individuals.
