The Canadian Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau has advised Canadian people to move online to celebrate the New Year Eve, so as to curb the spread of COVID-19.

The Prime Minister disclosed this on his official social platform on Wednesday, Trudeau said moving it online will make them stay safe and that’s how they can have a happier and healthy 2021.

According to him, “We’re only two days away from 2021. If this were any other year, you’d probably be finalizing your plans for New Year’s Eve and making sure you’ve invited all your friends.

“But this isn’t any other year, and we’ll have to find new ways to celebrate the end of 2020. Now, don’t get me wrong – we can definitely celebrate.

“After the year we’ve had, I think we all deserve to do that. But let’s move things online instead. Because that’s how we’ll stay safe, and that’s how we’ll be able to have a happier and healthier 2021”, he said.
