The highly deligated meeting was which sought to unlock the county sharing Revenue Formula which is now threatening to divide the Parliament was held at president Uhuru’s official residence. The meeting was attended by Orange Democratic Movement party leader Raila Odinga, senate representatives including Majority leader Samwel Poghisio and Minority leader James Orengo.

The counties were represented by chairperson of the council of governors Wycliffe Oparanya of Kakamega. However Ruto’s absence which raised eyebrows has now been explained by Prof Mutua. Mutua who also serves under Kenya Human Rights commission as the chairperson has taken into account two scenarios which could have made the DP Ruto to skip the meeting. He said either deputy president William was sacked by president Uhuru or He sacked himself.

The sentiments by Prof Mutua comes even with no official information from the office of the DP Ruto on why he could not attend the meeting. This even comes after previous revelations from Elgeyo Marakwet Senetor and former majority leader in the Senate Kipchumba Murkomen. According to him the DP no longer receives invitations to meetings from the statehouse which could be now a clearer information.

It should also be noted that despite them not publicly declaring,a number of political pundits have claimed that the once inseparable UhuRuto reads from different scripts.
