The former Sports Cabinet Secretary Rashid Echesa has today requested the court to release his Range Rover. ‘‘I fear to expose myself to COVID-19 while using public transport. In this case, I want my range rover and my firearms back which were impounded 3 months ago when police raided my home.’’ Echesa said. His lawyer Bryan Khaemba has explained how his client has been forced to stay at home for fear of exposing himself to Coronavirus.
There have been some reports claiming that in the month of March, Echesa went in court and requested the release of his vehicle claiming that he had lost dignity while using public transport. “I have suffered embarrassment and loss of dignity. Sometimes I travel on foot.” he pleaded.
