#EndSARS: Lagos First Lady endorses peaceful protests

The Wife of the Executive Governor of Lagos State, also Lagos First Lady, Joke Sanwo-Olu has said that she is in support of a peaceful protest to end police brutality, while implored Nigerian youths to engage in peaceful dialogue and avoid all forms of public disorder.

She disclosed this on her official social platform on Wednesday, she said as a mother, she shared the pain of parents, who have lost their children and those whose children still bear the scars of police brutality.

She encouraged all citizens to channel their grievances, suggestions and comments to all relevant authorities, while convinced that a positive outcome will be reached soonest. 

According to the Lagos First Lady, “To all my youth in Lagos state, your voice has been heard. The last few days has positioned our youth to be a voice against injustice, a voice to guide our nation into a new future.

“We have witnessed massive protests across our dear state and the entire country. Our youths are rightfully demanding an end to all forms of police brutality through #ENDSARS movement”, she said.
