Fastjet airline declared bankrupt

By Tatenda Marwodzi - Reporter

Low cost budget airline Fastjet has been declared bankrupt by a Tanzanian court. After the airline ceased its operating license in January, creditors and employees rushed to claim money owing to them. Unfortunately the airline has failed to pay off its debt.

The operating license expired when the airline failed to pay air transport regulator fees and other debt.

The declaration of debt may hinder Fastjet from ever renewing their license.
