First James Bond Actor, Sean Connery pass on at 90

The First James Bond Actor, Sean Connery has passed on at the age of 90 years after a brief illness, the Scottish actor play James Bond on film and for many fans he was the best.

Connery’s son, Jason told BBC that his father died peacefully in his sleep overnight while in Nassau, in the Bahamas, having been “unwell for some time”, while Bond producers, EON Productions confirmed his death.”We are all working at understanding this huge event as it only happened so recently, even though my dad has been unwell for some time.

“A sad day for all who knew and loved my dad and a sad loss for all people around the world who enjoyed the wonderful gift he had as an actor”, Jason said.Bond Producers, Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli said they were “devastated by the news”.

“He was and shall always be remembered as the original James Bond whose indelible entrance into cinema history began when he announced those unforgettable words ‘The name’s Bond… James Bond”, they said in a statement.

Also, a statement from the actor’s wife Micheline and Jason and Stephane said there will be a private ceremony for Connery, followed by a memorial once the pandemic has ended.Scottish First Minister Nicola Sturgeon said she was “heartbroken” at the news.“Our nation today mourns one of her best loved sons,” she said.

Sean Connery won an Oscar for his role as a Chicago cop in 1987’s The Untouchables, two Bafta awards and three Golden Globes.In a varied career, Connery played James Bond seven times, starting with “Dr. No” in 1962. His portrayal defined the suave secret agent for a generation of fans.
