First Lady hosts UN mission on communicable diseases

The First Lady, Federal Republic of Nigeria, Dr Aisha Buhari hosted a joint United Nation (UN) mission on communicable diseases and tuberculosis in Abuja.

She made it known on her official social media platform on Wednesday while she described her herself as the Global Tuberculosis Champion. She said the mission is currently in Nigeria to assess the situation in terms of communicable diseases and Tuberculosis control in Nigeria, with the aim of making recommendations on how best to improve communicable disease and tuberculosis control.

She shared with them her experience and advocacy efforts on improving management of tuberculosis, also efforts being made by first ladies in their various states to reduce Tuberculosis burden.
