There has been a surge in the number of road accidents in Kenya which has made the government to urge Kenyans to be more careful on the roads. A grisly road accident has been witnessed at Ndundori centre in Nakuru after a truck driver lost control thereby hitting more than ten cars and off road’s shops. Several people are feared dead with the exact number not yet revealed.
Police officers arrived at the scene immediately. Injured residents were moved to a safer grounds awaiting an ambulance to take them to the hospital. From the accident scene, the accident looks very fatal with the truck badly damaged. The increase in the number of accidents witnessed in the country has made the government to continue urging Kenyans to adhere to the set safety precautions when driving.
The gruesome accident comes in less than a week after another accident involving a trailer killed More than ten people at Kaburengu Market in Kakamega County. These two recent accidents are wake up calls for the government to make sure that all markets along busy roads are moved to safer locations. Having busy market’s near busy roads is a dead trap for citizens who go on their daily business not aware of the awaiting misfortunes.
