Hope for reopening of schools in Kenya

It can be said that the Corona virus pandemic has done more deadly effects on the education sector more than the other sectors economically.Ever since the first covid-19 case was reported back in March, the government ordered the immediate closure of all learning institutions in the country.

The decision has proved to be consequential as learners have continued to stay at home,a situation that has come with so many consequences especially the issue of teenage pregnancies and other societal challenges.Education cabinet secretary Prof George Magoha has been previously put on the spot over the issue of schools reopening over contradicting information but finally here are good news to parents and students.

Sources in the ministry of education has reported that some schools may reopen in November and that the ministry of education will tomorrow Monday commence training heads of basic and higher learning institutions on health guidelines in preparation for the reopening.Sources in the ministry of education further states that schools may have a phased reopening by November allowing form fours and standard eight students back to school.
