How to improve blood circulation in your body

Poor circulation is when blood flow isn’t working perfectly. This happens as a result of blocked arteries or atherosclerosis where artery walls thicken due to fats deposits. Having good blood circulation is vital to our overall health. Here are some of the things one can take to improve blood circulation.

Green tea……Green tea is packed with antioxidants which widen the blood vessels in the body increasing blood flow. This helps the cardiovascular system.

Beet juice….Beetroot juice is high in nitrates which the body converts into nitric oxide. This relaxes the blood vessels and increases blood flow to the muscle tissues thereby improving blood circulation.

Nuts….Raw nuts are more beneficial. Walnuts and almonds top the list which are high in vitamins A,B,C, and E and magnesium and iron. All these contribute to improving blood circulation.

Dark chocolate…….This contains Cocoa which has been known to improve blood circulation, manage blood pressure and cholesterol levels. The flavanoids in dark chocolate help stimulate the lining of the arteries producing nitric oxide which relaxes arteries.

Cinnamon……It is a warning spice that has many health benefits. It improves blood vessels dilation and flow in the coronary artery which supplies blood to the heart. It also reduces blood pressure.

Onions and garlic……Onions are excellent source of of flavanoids which promote good heart health. They also reduce inflammation and boosts blood flow in the veins. Garlic on the other hand contains sulphur compounds which have Allicin can increase blood flow and lower blood pressure by relaxing the blood vessels. It increases vasodilation..Give it a try
