Former President Goodluck Jonathan has said he is pleased that Pastor Reno Omokri, who served as his Social Media Aide when he was President, is being honoured with the Hollywood Weekly Magazine Film Festival (HWMFF) “Most Outstanding Humanitarian Cause 2019” Award. He made it known at the Hollywood Weekly Magazine Film Festival (HWMFF) in California, United States yesterday. Jonathan who was represented by Mr Stephen Tobbin, according to him “I am pleased that Pastor Reno Omokri who served as my Social Media Aide when I was President, is being honoured with the Hollywood Weekly Magazine Film Festival (HWMFF) ” Most Outstanding Humanitarian Cause 2019 Award. ” It is equally fitting that what earned for him this recognition is his selfless advocacy and campaign for the rights and welfare of the downtrodden”, he said. He commended Hollywood Weekly for this reassuring initiative and congratulated Mr. Omokri for the well deserved recognition. “I believe that he realizes that as gratifying as today’s feeling might be for him, it also challenges him with the responsibility to do more for the good of humanity. “As a cultural enthusiast, I am delighted to know that this programme has a component that showcases a convergence between Hollywood and my country’s film industry known as Nollywood, in line with the magazine’s celebration of cultural diversity in the movie world”, he added. He noted that no doubt more honour and recognition will come the way of Mr. Omokri as he has clearly acquitted himself as an unrelenting crusader for equity, justice and public good.
