The Former Governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi has said it’s tragic enough that terrorists are killing and maiming the citizens, disrupting lives and stifling development, but their continued attack on schools is an attack on Nigeria’s greatest asset, human resource.

He stated this on his Social platform on Sunday, while reacting to the attacks on Government Science Secondary School, Kankara, Katsina State on Friday, which led to the abduction of hundreds of students, Peter Obi said this must be a challenging times for the parents and guardians of these students.

According to him, “It is tragic enough that terrorists are killing and maiming our citizens; disrupting our lives and stifling our development, but their continued attack on our schools is an attack on our greatest asset: human resource”.

Peter Obi called on the Government and all stakeholders to take extraordinary measures to address this menace that is impacting negatively on Nigerians’ existence as a nation. “My thoughts and prayers are with you. My earnest prayer is for their safety and quick rescue”, he said.
