The duo governors of Oyo and Ondo states today met with President Muhammadu Buhari in Aso Villa over the spate of insecurity in the two states.
Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State and Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State urged the federal government to improve on security architecture for the country to guarantee safety of all and sundry in the country.
It would be recalled that both Oyo and Ondo witnessed attack from Fulani herdmen in their respective states. Oyo State witnessed security challenges in the Ibarapa region of the state when some unscrupulous elements taking the advantage of villagers and host community to kidnap and demand for ransom from victim’s family.
Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State used the opportunity to demand for more squadrons police in the state in order to combat to win war against insecurity.
