The governorship candidate of All Progressive Congress in 2019 general election, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, has raised his concerns on the decision of the state government to re-open schools for Primary 6 pupils, Junior Secondary School III and Senior Secondary School III students that, the time is not right.

While reacting to the COVID-19 pandemic question and education situation of the state, the Agbaakin Parakoyi of Ibadanland said, protection is more than any other thing that the government is investing in. He added that the decision to open worship centers alongside the school is of great concern as the situation may go beyond the situation we are even present.

He said, “the rising case is a pointer to the fact that we are not ripe for the schools and worship centers reopening. The western worlds that have every necessary instrument are not yet opening their economy as expected, while are we in rush”
