Following the gruesome murder of the late Mr Charles Thairu Kinyanjui at Barnabas area in Nakuru where three suspects have been in custody that is wife,son and daughter. The prime suspect 28year old Sospeter Kinyanjui Thairu who is the deceased’s eldest son and who has been on the run since the heinous act, yesterday surrendered himself to detectives with several exhibits being recovered from his hideout.
The arrest of the nuclear family members was effected after detectives found inconsistencies in the circumstances surrounding the murder where the deceased was found in a pool of blood in his car parked outside the gate to his home yet there were blood stains in one of the bedrooms which someone attempted to clean.
The 48year old wife,son and daughter aged 23and 24 respectively who had allegedly found the 59year old man unconscious and rushed him to Mediheal Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival were immediately arrested for interrogations with the eldest son disappearing. Upon his surrender and interrogations detectives proceeded to Ndimu Ndege area within Bahati sub-county in Nakuru where the suspect disposed the murder weapons and burned his bloodstained clothes.
Several exhibits were recovered including two metal rods,a bloodstained iron file,remains of burnt clothes, several syringes and a cash saving time. Suspects were booked in cells as further Investigations continue.
