Long time music rivals, Jah Prayzah and Winky D have – to everyone’s surprise – announced that they have organised a joint show for the festive season.

The show which will be held at the Harare International Conference Centre (HICC) for select VIP guests will be available for streaming online to the rest of the public on the 18th of December.

While the two have never had a public beef, fans have always had a running war over who is the better artist. Jah Prayzah is a contemporary musician who has dominated that genre earning him local and international awards. On the other hand, Winky D is the reggae-dancehall king and he too has numerous awards under his belt.

The war between their fan base is one that has been going on for years. With many even going to the extent of politicizing it claiming that Jah Prayzah is funded by the ruling party while Winky D is for the opposition.

The joint show has however been received well by fans with some anticipating the release of a collab. “I feel like they’re gonna be releasing a song that they did together,” said one fan. “It will be a legendary track,” said another.

“You owe us more than a show. We need a collabo, l am sure the song will be the best for 21st century in Zim,” was the popular consensus.
