New EFCC Chairman, Bawa, Set For Screening At The Senate

The 40-year Abdulrasheed Bawa who was appointed as the acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission by president Mohammed Buhari, has arrived at the Red Chamber for screening.

If cleared by the Senate, Bawa will become the youngest person to serve as the EFCC chairman and the first core EFCC official and non-police officer to lead the anti corruption agency.

Bawa’s nomination which was greeted with corruption allegation by the previous EFCC leadership, is said to be backed by the Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami (SAN).
