NiDCOM confirms arrival of 246 stranded Nigerians from Dubai

The Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM) has confirmed the arrival of 246 Nigerians stranded in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates into Nigeria due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The NiDCOM confirmed this on its official social platform as the evacuees landed at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos on Wednesday.

The Commission said all returnees tested negative for COVID-19 and would be made to undergo 14 days self-isolation after which they would be re-tested for the virus.”A big thank you to the Nigerian Mission in Dubai and the UAE government for paying for the flight. Tickets and the cost of COVIDー19 test for 131 evacuees.

“All evacuees tested negative for COVID-19 and will now proceed on 14 days  self-isolation as mandated Presidential Task Force on COVID-19″, NiDCOM said.
