Health authorities in Zimbabwe on Friday said no deaths related to Covid-19 have been reported in the last seven days. The southern African nation last reported 2 deaths on September 11. As at 18 September, Zimbabwe had recorded 7647 cases since the end of March, 5883 recoveries and 224 deaths.
“Seven day rolling average for new cases further goes down to 24 from 26 yesterday,” the Ministry of Health and Child Care said. Positive cases reported in Zimbabwe have been mild and as such have not required hospitalization.
This week, the government announced that intercity travel was once again not permitted while the country’s borders would be opened to outsiders at the beginning of next month, who would be allowed on strict Cocid-19 conditions.
