NYSC: DG seeks Minister’s support on borehole in Gombe, other centres

The Director-General, Brigadier General Shuaibu Ibrahim has appealed to the Honourable Minister for Water Resources, Alhaji Suleiman Adamu for the provision of boreholes at the NYSC Skill Acquisition Centres located in Kazaure, Gombe and lyin-Ekiti.

He made the appeal when paiding a courtesy call on the Minister in his office in Abuja on Thursday, General Ibrahim who had earlier thanked the Minister for the provision of boreholes in some NYSC Orientation Camps said there was the need to make the skill acquisition centres very conducive for the trainers alongside the trainees.

In his response, Alhaji Suleiman Adamu commended the NYSC for its leading role in youth engagements for the socio-economic development of the country. He disclosed the readiness of the Ministry to partner with the NYSC Scheme to sensitize Nigerians against open defecation and also galvanize support for tree planting. The DG however promised to establish a community development service in this regard as requested.
