Dr. Okonjo-Iweala was welcomed to the headquarters of WTO by its Secretary and other top members of the organization.
Okonjo-iweala is a Nigerian-American economist and international development expert.
She was born on June 13, 2954 to Chukwuka Okonjo family. She attended Harvard University for her B.A and proceeded to Massachusetts Institute of Technology for her Master’s degree and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in economics.
Okonjo-iweala was the first to serve as Nigeria’s Finance Minister twice under two presidents between 2003-2006 and 2011-2015 respectively.
