The build up to the governorship election in Ondo State has take another dimension as the incumbent governor Rotimi Akeredolu (SAN) received the backing of Olusegun Abraham ahead of the party primary election.

Governor Akeredolu while announcing this via his twitter handle said, “I just got off the phone with my brother Olusegun Abraham who informed me of his decision to support my second term ambition. Together, we will keep the sun shining in Ondo State.”

It should be recalled that, the deputy governor of the state and the Secretary to the State Governor (SSG) has resigned and joined the opposition party, PDP, to oust out the incumbent governor.
