In celebration of one year anniversary of his administration, the Executive Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has honoured 10 frontline health workers who have committed themselves to the fight against COVID-19.
He disclosed this on his official social platform on Friday, he said as the epicentre of the virus outbreak in the country, Lagos has taken charge and offered the leadership required in the response to stop the virus.
According to him, “to demonstrate our commitment to winning the battle, the least we can do on the occasion of our first anniversary is to select representatives of the frontline health workers and appreciate them for all they do. “We are not out of the woods nor have we reached the peak, but we certainly cannot wait until the crisis is over before we start acknowledging the sacrifices of these extremely committed people”, he said.
He added that the medical personnel have played their roles well and his administration will not forget their sacrifice. “On behalf of the people of Lagos, I thank all frontline workers for their sacrifice”, he said.
