Pensioners in Rivers State are calling on the state government to pay them their pension arias and gratuity.

Some of the pensioners said they have not been paid their gratuity and when the government decided to start the monthly payment of pension, they were paid without their arias.

They however said that they are asking for their right, not a privilege, adding that the state is buoyant enough to pay them their money. The pensioners convened at the state secretariat for their first meeting for the year.
