Rotary Int’l Installs New Female President In Ibadan-Ologuneru Branch

The Rotary Club of Ibadan-Ologuneru on Sunday 4th October 2020 during her investiture ceremony installs Rotn. Oluwatosin Adejare as the first female president and second president of the Ibadan-Ologuneru axis of the humanitarian organization. Rotn. Oluwatosin Adejare, the new Trailblazer President of Rotary Club of Ibadan-Ologunéru, is a practicing medical laboratory scientist with many years of experience, and currently the Secretary, the Guild of Medical Laboratory Directors (GMLD) in Oyo State, and Vice-Chairman, HCPAN Laboratory Pillar Oyo State. She was also the President, Female Med. Lab Scientist Oyo State.

The president while addressing the press in her acceptance speech thanks Almighty God for the success of the investiture ceremony, and the supports from people in all walks of life that attended the ceremony. She added that “Rotary International has always been a place where the best part of human beings can be brought out for the good of humanity. As the leadership responsibility is enormous, even though, surmountable with good leadership and cooperation of other team members”

She notes that “It is a thing of joy to be a member of an international organization like the Rotary Club. And also, the opportunities abound being a member of the club to be serving and helping humanity to the best of their capability” She added that “I enjoin us all to further preach the gospel of the services being rendered by Rotary Club generally. As we are in the core center of making sure society is safe for us to live. And that, the 7-Areas of the focus of rotary international will be well-tailored and pursued the benefit of mankind.”

While delivering his speech, the Chairman of the Day, Engr. Olasunkammi Tegbe, who was ably represented by one of his political aide, Mr. Adeola Adelabu Labzy, expresses his heartfelt, gratitude, and honor bestowed on him, to be worthy of chairing an auspicious occasion like that. That, the Chairman of the day, according to Mr. Adeola, sent his warm greetings and regards and assured the Rotary Club of Ibadan-Ologunéru of his unrelenting total support for the organization.

Also in attendance is Hon. Kehinde Olaosebikan (Father of the Day), Hajia (Dr.) Aminat Ayobami Olaboopo (Mother of the Day, and was ably represented), Barr. (Dr.) Adebayo Shittu (former Minister of Nigeria), Engr. Oyewole Shobande, Rotn. Sikiru Adetona Owonikoko (Guess Lecturer), Engr. Rotimi Owonikoko, Alh. Dawood Olalere, Lion Otunba Olayiwola Fadairo, and a host of other well meaning personalities. The investiture ceremony was further commemorated with an empowerment program targeted at supporting some small scale business operators, market women in particular, at the Ologuneru community, as the president believes that, “WE RISE BY LIFTING OTHERS”, and rotary opens opportunity.
