These terms and conditions apply whenever you access Media Bypass as a reader or as a journalist on any Media Bypass website or app (hearafter ‘platforms’). You are deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions any time you use Media Bypass platforms.
Services/functions on these platforms require you to complete the registration form by entering your email address, username, and password. Additionally, these terms and conditions apply when you subscribe to our email services. Please ensure that you read all these terms and conditions before registering or using the Media Bypass Platforms.
You are required to update your profile on all our platforms should you subsequently change your details after the initial registration.
Any changes (‘updates’) we make to these terms and conditions will be reflected on this page. Continuing to use our platforms bind you to those updated terms and conditions.
Registration
When you register, you are registering as a personal user of Media Bypass platforms. Access to Media Bypass platforms is via your Username and password. Please keep your password secret, unique and remember to change regularly.
We allow you access to readers’ content on these platforms on the following basis:
(i) your email address, username, and password are personal to you and may not be used by anyone else.
(ii) you will not do anything which would assist anyone who is not a registered user to gain access to any members-only area of Media Bypass platforms.
(iii) you do not maliciously create additional usernames for the purpose of abusing the functionality of the site, or other users; nor do you seek to pass yourself off as another user by adopting a similar username.
(iv) you comply with these terms and conditions.
(v) you will not use Media Bypass plaforms to intentionally break any international, national, or local laws and regulations.
If for any reason, we believe that you have not complied with these requirements, we may, at our discretion, cancel your access to Media Bypass platforms immediately and without giving you any advance notice.
Termination of registration
If we wish to bring the agreement to an end, we will do so by emailing you at the address you provided at registration stating that the agreement has terminated. The agreement will terminate and your user name and password will become invalid immediately.
Use of material appearing on Media Bypass platforms
For the purposes of this agreement, “content” means material including, without limitation, text, video, graphics, and sound material, published on Media Bypass platforms, whether copyright belongs to Media Bypass or a third party.
You may download and print extracts from the content and make copies of these for your own personal and non-commercial use only. You are not allowed to download or print the content, or extracts of it, in a systematic, automated, regular manner or otherwise so as to create a database in electronic or paper form comprising all or part of the material appearing on any Media Bypass platforms.
You must not reproduce part of any Media Bypass content, transmit it to, or store it in any other website, or disseminate any part of the content in any other form, unless with our direct permission.
We may allow you to distribute or reproduce some parts of our website(s) or the content therein, in certain other circumstances at our discretion, and/or as permitted by international and national laws. Please read through our Rights and Permission page for more information.

Users of our site may submit content for publication in various areas of the site, including Blogs, Letters to the Editor and Readers’ Comments. We accept no liability in respect of any content submitted by users and published by Media Bypass and we are not responsible for its content and accuracy.
If you want to submit content to us for publication in the Blogs, Letter to the Editor, Readers’ Comments, or Discussion Forum you may do so on the following terms and conditions:
(i) publication of any content you submit to us will be published at our sole discretion. We reserve the right to make deletions to the text or graphics prior to publication or to refuse publication.
(ii) you grant us a non-exclusive, perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide license to republish any content you submit to us in any format, including without limitation to print and electronic format.
(iii) you warrant to us that any content you submit to us is your own original work and that you own the copyright and any other relevant rights.

Although we will do our best to provide constant, uninterrupted access to Media Bypass platforms, we do not guarantee this. We accept no responsibility or liability for any interruption or delay. Please note that this access maybe temporarily or permanently rescinded, any maybe so under our discretion.
