Tetfund to complete 8years abandoned Multipurpose Hall in ABU

The Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund), has assured the Management of Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, to help the University complete it’s 8-year old abandoned Iconic 1000 Seat Capacity Multipurpose Hall at the Institution’s Samaru Main Campus.

The Executive Secretary of Tetfund, Professor Suleiman Elias Bogoro gave the assurance to the Professor Kabiru Bala-led Management of the University over the weekend, he expressed serious disappointment over the Contractor’s inability to complete the project, Eight years after it was awarded.

He said he will make sure that the project is completed and becomes fully operational before January 2021 by God’s grace and also he was very impressed with the initial concept and design of the Multipurpose Hall.

He assured the University Management that TETFund will step in to ensure maintenance of quality of work at the site, speedy completion and take off of the edifice which if successfully completed, will be the first of its kind in the country.
